What is the AP x Swatch Royal Pop?

Royal Pop is the official collaboration between Audemars Piguet, one of the few independent manufactures in high Swiss watchmaking, founded in 1875, and Swatch, the conglomerate behind the biggest cultural phenomenon in recent watch collecting: the MoonSwatch. Swatch has developed a hand-wound version of the SISTEM51, engineered without a central screw, with 15 active patents and laser-adjusted precision directly at the factory. The SISTEM51 was already unique as the first (and only) 100% machine-assembled Swiss mechanical movement. This new version adds manual winding, a conscious decision to bring the mechanical ritual —the act of winding— closer to the user who is just starting in high watchmaking.

Bioceramic is Swatch's patented blend that combines ceramic with bio-derived materials.
