What now fills an entire hall at IFEMA Madrid started as a small, improvised showroom in a wedding hall of an NH hotel in Madrid back in 2019. Its creators — Carlos Martín (ByCalitos), Miguel Antón, and Juan Villegas — aimed to bring together all the brands, creators, and communities living streetwear culture in Spain into one space. The first edition saw 500 attendees.
Seven years and eight editions later, ScrapWorld attracts over 16,000 attendees per edition, featuring national and international brands, top-tier artists, and activations that go far beyond just shopping. The model is that of a complete cultural festival: fashion, music, art, gaming, and gastronomy coexisting for two days in the same venue.
Nothing comparable existed in Spain until ScrapWorld came along.
