The Air Jordan 9 Retro Particle Grey (GS) is the grade school version (junior/kids' sizes) of one of the brand's most iconic silhouettes, the AJ9 that Tinker Hatfield designed in 1993. This "Particle Grey" colorway was released in June 2022.
It features a black nylon upper with Particle Grey padded panels on the ankle, heel, and midsole, a light grey durabuck mudguard, and University Red accents on the heel, tongue, and outsole. Its palette is a nod to the baseball cleats Michael Jordan wore with the Birmingham Barons in 1994. White sole with embossed Jumpman.
