The Nike Air Liquid Max "Black" is the first collaboration on this silhouette: Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of Fragment Design, was the first external designer to touch it. It comes in an all-black total, with "Fragment Concept Testing" branding on the side and Fragment's iconic lightning bolt stamped on the tongue.
The interesting part is underneath: the Air Liquid Max flattens the Air tubes seen in the Dn family to form a full-length air unit that wraps the base of the foot like a cushioned crust, a completely new take on Nike's visible Air. Above, a seamless upper with a subtle reptilian texture that plays with light without breaking the black.
